I am getting a cd sent to me from kodak since the version I have doesnt work with windows 7. I am not confused wioth bs. The less bs the more they stick out the more bs the more they are in. But if I had less bs I would think it would rub even more since it sticks out farther therefore when turning the truck say left sharp the drivers side tire would rub even worse. I think I have the correct wheels. Just wide tires and not quite enough lift. The wheel wells are just shy of it clearing. Sometimes it doesnt even rub
I tried to get you to tell us about your lift in the last leveling kit threat I saw you in, so I'll ask again. What kind of kit did you use, and how did you fix the radius arm and trac bar issues that come with an 8" lift?
I didn't see it. It's an 8" Fab-Tech, I wouldn't recommend it. Stock Rad. arms Stock Track Bar. I didn't use the Track bar lowering bracket from Fab-Tech. I had one from Superlift that actually dropped the position 8" instead of the 6" the Fab-Tech bracket did. I haven't had any Issues with the Rad arms. The kit comes with rear lowering brackets. I didn't even need an alignment, I've put 40,000 miles on it and tire wear is as good or better then stock. I used Pro Comp (Traction Bars) on the rear.
hi,
i sorta have the same question except im wondering how big of a tire i can go before i do rub.
i have an 05 2wd f150 with 3in levelinh kit. idk if 33's will look big enough so im leaning towards 35;s
does anyone know if they'll rub??
not sure if 35s would fit your truck but 33s look big enough on f150s even with a 3 inch lift. Plus you have a 2wd so it should not be as high as a 4wd with 3inches

I know this is the wrong section, but I just lifted an 06 2wd F150 about two months ago so I'll play.
265/70-17s are roughly 31.5" tall and fill up the wells about like a stock 4wd would after a 2.5" lift using 8" wide wheels with a pretty shallow offset. 33s are the biggest you need to be looking at, 35s would IMO be a bad call for a few reasons. One is I have a 250 with a 2" lift and 35s and I can feel a low end power loss with a PSD. If you have anything less than the 5.4L, a regear will be a must with 35s, and recommended with 33s. Secondly, you'll be putting a lot of stress on the front components. Your tie rods and upper ball joints are well, small. You can stuff the tires in there, but your front end will wear out a lot sooner. Plus you have a 2wd, it's not like you need the 35s for anything practical, so stay with a smaller tire.
