I'm pretty sure they are the same, the 6spds have a different bolt pattern.
If yours is 2X the newer tranny has no provision for a spedo though.
I do know the talishaft off yours will go on the newer one but am not sure if there is a place on the tailshaft on the 92 up for the gear.
