Steering box adjustment...

Not sure if this is possible, but can anyone tell me how to adjust the backlash in the steering box on these? I am able to do it in my Mercedes and Lincoln, but not sure on the F series.

I'm asking because I have a bit of play in the steering wheel still after replacing everything from the pitman arm to the knuckles.

Ford F-150 Steering Box Adjustment have a look here (originally posted by RMS94). However make sure the play is not in the steering shaft slip joint or rag joint.

Be Careful when doing this. Some people and myself included have tightened it to tight trying to get it to steer like one of these new trucks. If you get it to tight, you can blow the seals in it, then it will start leaking

Thanks for the tip. I'll be nice to it...I know I'll never get it to respond like my Mercedes, but I just am trying to keep it from wandering.
