Could not tell ya about the tach.... But, did ya know! them gauges to the right and left are original ford gauges from a swept speedo gauge cluster. they are not original to your truck though.
The outboard gauges could be had in 65 on the standard steel or sweep plastic panel added at the dealer or factory (camper specials) with the seperate harness. All 4x4s have the steel panel stock. Even if it came as a custom cab, as they used the 61 to 64 dash stamping. Exception being the 66 F100 4x4.
In fact on the larger trucks they gauges were included, along with a tach and sometimes a air gauge.
Hum! well i did notice it had the chrome dash like the 64 and earlier custom cabs, but did not know the steel dash was cut at the factory or dealer for outboard gauges.
These gauges were standard equipment on Standard or Custom Cab Camper Special's, optional on other models, including F100/250 Rangers.
Did'ja know that during WWII, John Banner was the one of the models who posed for US Army recruiting posters?
Did'ja know that Werner Klemperer (Col. Klink) was the son of composer/conductor Otto Klemperer, and like 1000's of other Jewish refugees, emigrated from Germany to the US in the 1930's?
Bill, I did know Col. Klink was the son of conductor Otto Klemperer.
But, did not know John Banner (Shultz) from Hogans heros was a model for Army posters.
Yeah, I always kinda found it strange that Klemperer would play a **** officer, even one as inept as Klink. But then all the travel shows are going to Viet Nam now, too.

Did'ja know the reason Werner Klemperer (Col. Klink) had no objection to playing a german officer was because he felt his charector(sp?) portrayed the ****'s as bumbling idiots?.

Most of the actors/actresses that emigrated to the US from Europe in the 1930's, played ****'s in US films.
Actor Peter Lorre (nee Laszlo Lowenstein) not only played ****'s, but a Japanese as well, in a whole series of Mr. Moto films.
Lorre's best known film role was that of Ugarte in Casablanca (WB: 1942).
In fact, except for Bogart, Joy Page, Sydney Greenstreet, Dan Seymour and Claude Rains, all the other actors/actresses in Casablanca were refugees from Europe.
