ENGINE SWAP
I'm thinking of swapping out a 351m to an 302 with tranny,(downgrading because i have the 302 already)want to know what is required for the change such as driveshaft if so what lenght. and ,motor mounts

You are going to go through some major changes with this swap. First of all the bell housing bolts are in the big block pattern on the 351 and the 302 has the small bolt pattern. I dont know what tranny you have. IF you have a manual you can just change the bell but if you have a C6 you are going to have to swap out your tranny. Motor mounts Im not sure of but I think you will have to change them. The drive shaft will depend on the motor mounts and where you have to put them on the frame. This is going to be a lengthy process. In my opinion I would just rebuild the 351 and sell the 302. Good luck

you will also be required to change the engine mount towers on the cross member. A 351M is wider than a 302. Depending on the type of radiator you have, you may have to change the fan shroud.
Also, depending on what you got your engine and trans out of, the trans may have a different type linkage, which would require you to change the linkage lever, this requires the removal of the valve body.
