Interesting, as thats the same model as mine. I wouldn't neccessarily say its a problem, but I have noticed that because of the slick icy roads we had yesterday and today, that if you very slowly accelerate from a stop all the way to say 45-50 mph, it seems like the tranny is in too high of a gear because of the light acceleration and you hear what sounds like a groan or droaning sound, when the tranny is in 6th but you arent going very fast. The days before this with roads that were drier (we got snow yesterday) and you normally accelerate to the speed of the rest of traffic I didn't hear it. Anyway, I dont know if this makes sense, but essentially its like having a standard tranny and your in 5th gear but only goping 20 mph and you give it light throttle. I am still getting used to the 6spd in this truck as it is a different animal from the 6spd I had in my Tundra

It sounds like the same thing I am experiencing. With an older trans that had the standard drive and overdrive I was always told to run it in drive untill you were above 50 to keep the trans from shifting early and burning up the 4th gear by it bogging down so to speak but the six speed is a whole new animal.
