FUEL CELL CAPACITY

Hello everyone...I finally got my 2010 F150 Screw 4x4 Lariat in a week or so ago. I just filled the tank up after driving it on a short trip. The fuel gauge was on exactly a 1/4 of a tank. The tank held 24.3 gallons, easily. My question is: does this compare to everyone's fuel gauge accuracy? Manual stated that a 26 gallon tank is standard with a 36 gallon option, which I don't have. Just wondering what others are experiencing. I wouldn't think it would get that low and have only 1.7 gallons left at a 1/4 of a tank. I previously owned a GMC and it still had 7 or 8 gallons at a 1/4 of a tank. Help me understand????

You have a 36 gallon tank. It's standard on S. Crews.

yeah you definitely have the 36 gallon tank....especially since you fit 24.3 gallons in the tank and it still said that it had 1/4 left.

When I bought my 2010 Screw with the 6.5 ft bed the salesman couldn't tell me what size tank I had, he also said the larger tank was an option, but I couldn't find any info on the window sticker or in the manual to determine the size. Like unit126 I too had about a quarter tank left and filled it up -took 25 gallons, so I figured I had the larger tank. Thanks shotgunz for your insight, Mike

So all Supercrews are 36 gallon? I can't find the capacity of my truck anywhere on the vehicle or on the window sticker.

My window sticker has it listed as a no charge option.
