OK, so here's the deal...I got pulled last night in Ohio because I have no running lights...i also have no dash lights...but, my turn signals and brake lights work just fine...also, my trailer connector burnt in half...i'm figuring i have some major electrical gremlin thing going on...
I checked all the fuses in the fuse panel, and none were blown...so, calling my FTE brothers out again...any ideas???
Well, no...i was actually on my way to Fall Branch, TN yesterday morning @ 5am and all of a sudden the dash lights went out...that was all i noticed then, but it turns out that when they went out, i lost everything else too...

Do I really??? I had no idear...lol...it seemed like the problem was some kind of super fuse, not one of those whimpy blade fuses under the steering wheel...lol...i can't imagine all those lights working off of one dang fuse, but i guess anything's possible...i'll go check in the am...
I had the same issue when my old trailers wire harness shorted out. it was a couple of years ago. But I rember having to replace 2 fuses in the engine compartment.

Funny how few people know that the instrument cluster lights are purposely tied in to the running light circuit to make you aware there's a problem. Did you check the maxi-fuses under the hood?
Yes sir, hook up to someone else's trailer with crappy wiring a few times and you figure it out. It always seems to be those Carolina boys with the redneck wiring. j/k Do you guys even have to get trailers inspected there? I'd swear there are more trailers running around without lights and brakes, than there are with.
Yep, you are so right there, My pop is the only man I know that swears everyone elses truck is wired wrong but his and that's because he did it himself. Blown plenty of fuses on my truck trying to pull his little trailers. Finally rewired the trailer and his truck and now no more problems. You know, brakes worked with left turn, left turn with headlights and so on, until you did more that one at a time the POP goes the fuses.
Same thing happened on a Honda I had. Turn signals and brakes lights worked but everything else electrical went out. Turned out that a wire behind the radio grounded out on a metal bracket. If you have an aftermarket radio I'd check there also and make sure there aren't any exposed wires.
