70 CLUTCH LINKAGE

Does anyone know were I can find an exploded view of a 70 F-100 Clutch linkage arrangement? Both at the pedal and under truck.

Did'ja happen notice all those numbers next to the parts?

Those are Ford basic part numbers, which means...that this illustration is from the:

1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog. But, this is the wrong illustration, as it's for a 1967/68 F100/350.

1969/72 F100/350: This is correct > > Illustration Section 75, Page 21.

This parts catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com for $22.00.

Funny it is listed under 1970 at that web site. Not my mistake just trying to be helpful.

Yes, I'm aware it was not your mistake. The mistake lies with that other site...and it's not the only illustration they've listed that is in-correct.

P-5845 is listed at the far lower right of the illustration you posted, which is found in section 75, page 13 of the catalog

This is the parts catalog photographic plate number for this 1967/68 illustration.

1970/72: The plate number is P-7865, the illustration is in section 75, page 21 of the catalog.

Bill

I need two of those aluminum/pot metal doohickeys between part number 2471 and 2471. I have the 2471s but the aluminum bushing on the passenger side is elshoto and oblong.

It is probably not something available as a service part.

Sorry for the hijack......

...which is exactly how it's correctly posted on that other site. The mistake WAS vortilon's...he used the '67-'69 graphic and incorrectly identified it here as the '70-'72 version.

If people had their own 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog, they wouldn't need to go looking for illustrations elsewhere.

Today, it's EZ to get one on a CD. Back in the old days, it was composed of 6,810 loose leaf pages, and Ford charged $200.00 for it.

The CD costs $22.00, and you don't need any binders for all those fracatta pages.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The metal bushings were only available with the pedal support. There's two different supports, because 1967 is 1967...only.*

C7TZ8101508A .. Pedal Support / Obsolete / Fits: 1967 F100/350.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

D2TZ8101508A replaced C8TZ8101508A .. Pedal Support / Obsolete / Fits: 1968/72 F100/350.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH (800-543-4959) has ONE D2TZ8101508A.

No Ford Dealer, no other obsolete parts vendor has any, no one has C8TZ8101508A.

*1967 only related parts: The pedal support, the brake (and clutch) pedal, the dash, master cylinder, power booster, and...the firewall.

There are two different types of nylon pedal support bushings. Some are used only on the brake pedal, some only on the clutch pedal, some are used for both.

2) B7AZ2471B replaced B7AZ2471A .. Nylon Brake & Clutch Pedal Bushing 5/8" long / Available from Ford.
