Dave try this link to Comp Cams:

Camshafts Are Our Specialty, Comp™ Is Second To None

If you look down the page, the 255 dual energy cam description talks about RV applications.

I got to talking to one of the cleaning guys here at work - he's a diehard Chevy guy...

He suggested milling the heads down 0.020" and running a cam with 480-500 lift... He also suggested swapping the intake manifold out with a dual-plane (something like the Edelbrock Torker - he's partial to the Holley dual-plane's) and swapping the Q-jet with a Holley 650...

Hope this helps...

Making a list, Thanks guys!
Any chance on making noticeable gains with just the cam and headers, still using the Q-jet and stock intake?.........You would have to see this thing, it is pristine!....The PO relieved it of the emissions controls, its so clean, you could eat off the intake. The Q-jet is in the same shape and seems to work perfectly. $$$ are a major factor, would like to keep the stock carb and manifold if at all feasible.

I would think you'd be fine with the Q-jet and stock manifold Dave....the cam and headers should pep it up a little bit.

I hope so.......A guy on a bicycle beat me through a intersection at a red light!
I could start a whole thread on this: My motorhome is so SLOW,
Bugs land on the windshield to laugh at me.
Farm equipment piles up behind me.
Spider webs on the speedometer past 57mph.
Little old ladies in Buicks give me the finger as they pass me.

I could easily go on.

I would go with the comp cam, high energy 252. Excellent cam for low end with plenty of higher rpm drive ability. Get headers and if money allows, dbl roller 3 position timing gear set and better flowing intake.

Those items will make a big difference in the 350 performance and even get a bit better economy.
