Arrow Brakes hydrolocking.....

over the last two weeks, on two different ocassions, I have experienced when pressing the pedal, a hard 'no response' pedal. It felt as if the AL was trying to work but i literally had no brakes!! The conditions did not warrant AL system being used so the whole deal doesn't make sense.

Also, I have noticed a slight pull to the driver side when braking. I replaced the driver side caliper about 6 mos ago...are these two intertwined, and what caliper is giving problems when it pulls to driver side

Thanks guys....

Typically the problem when there is a pull, is on the other side. If it pulls to the driver side, typically the passenger side is sticking, causing it to be able to push less. As far as the hard pedal goes, did you have the recent recall done? I dont know if that affects that or not, but there is a recall on some part of our brake system that i havent done yet either. Mine does what your saying usually if i try to slam on the brakes immediately after a hard acceleration. And i mean immediately after. (pedal swapping, in a oh ***** situation lol)

When this is happening, do you know if you also have a problem with the power steering?

I agree with speedy about the pulling issue.

When mine does it, im typically more intuned with what the brakes are doing, and trying to avoid the situation at hand But he could be right about it being a anti lock issue. You may consider pulling the antilock fuse, and driving it, and seeing if it happens again. That would eliminate the ABS assembly from the equation. You just have to deal with the dummy light untill you put it back together.

Hey Joe, long time no hear from... no PS issues during the braking problem. When I get off the brakes, and get back on they are fine. One time it lasted for a split second to 1-2 seconds. and the other time it was the same. I'm at a loss.

Jay, when was the last time you flushed your fluid?

When you braked, did it pull the steering to the left, or did your rig just drift to the left? I know it's kind of splitting hairs, the way I asked, but I'm wondering if your rear brakes could be the culprit.
