someone either agree or correct me. but you aint gonna find one. the pillar is to short to hold 4 gauges. the SD's can get them but look at how long the pillars are. the thing to do would be 3 gauge pillar with a single mount in the area of your choice. or look for a 4 gauge that mounts on the dash or something. but you wont find a 4 gauge pillar for OBS
2x's on the pillar being kinda short for a 4 gauge. i've seen some gauge mounts on the sd's that are over the rear view mirror on the windshield and have wondered if those are custom or if they can be bought like the pillar pods. i'd like one for my obs if they make them.
they can i just can remember where i seen them. but i thought bout doin that for oil and fuel pressure sometime. idk that it would work though cause i think the SD mirrors are down lower so you have the space up. i know my truck aint got the space for one above the mirror. lol i was also thinkin bout 2 where my CB used to be
There is a quad pod out there for the OBS, I cannot recall what company it is but they do exsist. The only problem with them is that there is an interference with the gauge pod and the drivers visor, they hit and make it hard to open and close the visor. What i am going to do is get a gauge pod for above the rear view mirror for a SD and just modify that to fit in there, from what I'm told it isnt difficult to do and from what ive seen they look friggen awsome. And as for colors you paint them to match, but I'm not sure if they make a red paint. You might be able to get some at the dealer or maybe even find a close match at the parts store but its got to be for plastic or it will not adhere to it good.
Basically the only wire that would have to be long enough from teh kit would be the pyrometer, all of the other ones were just run wire to it for power ground and light which you make up yourself. Oh and the boost tube aswell but you could get more of that at the hardware store if need be. I have a three gauge pod on my A-pillar and I want to get another three gauge pod for above the rear view. My only problem is I have to decide what i want for gauges, I'm thinking a scan gauge, fuel pressure, and maybe a second pyro? or maybe true oil pressure or maybe just a DP-tuner F-6 dial.
oh and i forgot to add that my pyro cable was probably an extra 3 feet longer than i needed, so there would have been plenty of extran to put in up above the rear view.
