gauge mounting

where do you guys like your gauges mounted?
pillar mount is cool but I don't want to lose my grab handle.
what do you think about a triple or quad dash pod or windshield pod?

I don't have a hanel on the drivers A pillar, so I never missed it. Depending on your guage setup, my next solution would have been the cluster bezel. The others put the gauges a little further out of eye sight. Check out autometer's website, they have quite afew options for you.

gb I have the same issue. I've got a King Ranch and my grab handle is in the way of the pillar. I've wondered about mounting them in the tray on top of the dash.

Any other ideas?

Those look pretty good. Now, to throw a fly in the ointment....

I'm tall (6'1") and tend to move my rearview mirror up (instead of letting it hang down), do you think the gauges would hinder this? I feel that letting the mirror hang down forces me to duck my head to see the area under the mirror...so that's why I adjust it up.

I'm 6'3" and there is sufficent room for a pod below the headliner. The pod will only be 3-4" high.

We typically remove the handle when we install the A-pillar mount. You can use the steering wheel as a handle!

Here is a link on what is available for the Fords:

I've got the two gauge instrument cluster pod. I like the fact that I didnt have to lose my grab handle, but your view of the fuel and engine temp are reduced with this pod. Craming the boost line and the wiring into place is kinda tricky with this setup also.

I ahd the "a" pillar pod on my '05 and missed the grab handle. The pod on mine does interfere with the mirror a little but I have looked at other trucks and the mirror mount sometimes varies in heigth a little. The other thing I like about it is you can run the wires up either or both a pillars and under the headliner.

Is your seat raised? LOL.. I'm 6'4 and my mirror is in the factory spot and it gives me no problems what so ever.. Never had to adjust it.. I could easily stuff a Mirror Pod above it with plenty of room...

Nope, the seats only raised when the wife drives it....kinda that inverse seat (male vs. female) issue. When I leave the bathroom I have to lower the seat....when she leaves the truck, SHE has to lower the seat! LMAO....never thougth I'd get even!!!!
