I just bought an 02 F-250 7.3, 6-speed. I am installing a boost and pyro gauge on the A-pillar (Autometer gauges and pod). I need to paint the Autometer pod the factory color of the a-pillar (it is light gray). What is this color and where can I find a spray can of it?

On paintscratch.com I only see medium graphite and dark graphite as interior colors for my truck. They both seem that they would be too dark.

I really want to get these gauges installed as quickly as I can so I an install my DP Tuner I just got.

I just can't bring myself to spend $20 for a can of spray paint. lol. i'm gunna scope out some paint shops around here to see if they have anything that will match close enough.

 

Don't get p;lain laquier paint...be sure to buy vinyl & fabric paint!! Dupli-Color has it. Just go to your local auto parts store.

 

I think I am going to pick up Duplicolor Medium Gray vinyl and fabric paint and see how it looks.

 

PM-19M547-2001H is the Ford part # for interior spray paint. Sales for $19.86 a can, but it will match.

Color is Medium Flint

 

I figured I spent $250 on the Dashhawk, $40 on the mount, $150 to get the EGT probe installed, I wasn't going to cheap out on the spraypaint and end up with it looking like crap. The paint isn't a 100% match, but it is pretty dang close, and that is with my horrible painting skills. Plus I have plenty left over, so if I ever need it, or know someone else who does, I still have it.

 

So is the correct color for the a-pillar on an 02 with gray interior medium graphite or medium flint? There are several different shades of gray on the interior I just want to make sure I am getting the right one for the a-pillar

 

I think it's medium graphite.

Not that it matters, if you look close you will see multiple shades of gray in your interior. Anything close will look fine.

 

The 02 can supposedly be either. Ford used medium graphite from 97-04, and medium flint from 02-current. Look at the sticker on your door and see what it says for interior code and post that here.

 

Sorry it took so long for me to reply, I have had several large problems with my truck over the past few weeks (oil pan, clutch).

Anyway the Interior color that is listed on my door is 6E

So which interior paint should I be purchasing to paint my A-pillar?
