why cant i just use the stock hanger and flip it over? and did making your own shackel gain you anything?
Yes, you can do that but it's kind week flip over & it's going to put your shackel bolt position up pretty high. Depending on how you are going to go about this you might not want it up that high.
Making my own Shackels and hangers gave me the freedom to put things where I found they needed to be to work best for my truck + I could build out of the materials I saw fit for the situation.

No. it's all a matter of getting it designed and fitted into your truck. If you can get stock parts to work you can use them to your advantage. You won't know how much you have lifted it till it's on the ground. This is a picture from behind.
