Shackle flip question

When flipping the rear shackles, what angle should the shackles hang when the weight of the truck is on them? 10 degrees back or strait up and down etc etc? After the flip will I need shims to re-align the pinion angles?

The bottom of the shackle should be pointed to the rear 30-45 deg. You are going to have to do something about the pinion angle if you don't drop your front hangers down some.

Thanks. Looks like I will be dropping the rear of the spring 6" total (3" of total lift in the rear suspension). Any idea what degree of shim I might need? Im thinking maybe 3-4 degree's?
