So fellas, smashed finger and all, i did actually chip the bone.......LMFAO!! Either way i went to canadian tire for a sawzall and i bought a porter cable model that has speed adjust and switches from orbital to straight sawing, still cant really tell the diff. I also left canadian tire with a wire feed welder. It is not a Mig but an arc wire feed. Very awesome and saved my butt today. I also found out the the passenger side manifold connection was rotted out. That is where my clicking sound was coming from. POS had me stopped for a while but i just got a clean section of pipe and my ball peen hammer and made the new connection. The flange deal. I hooked my new pipes up and man she sounds friggin waaaaayyy better and the throttle response is tremendous over stock, even with straight the straight piped version 2.0. haha I bought a fabricators section of mandrel bent 3" exhaust at lordco for 44 dollars and some of the other connectors. All of it for the true duals was 90. The welder i picked up on sale for 189. I recommend it most definitely. If you can get to a canadian tire, check it out, it is the master craft brand, not a lincoln electric but i am not a welder by trade, a hobbyist of sorts! So check out the pics on the link below. You can see the configuration as i have it currently. I am buying a fabricated y from magnaflow and a 6 inch round muffler for the run down the side then it will exit out in a 4" tip. The Y is 44 dollars. A local fabricator wanted 200 bucks. Check out the magnaflow Y if you get a chance. I also picked up a 2 ton engine hoist. Just have to put it together and i will have this oil pan leak whooped! Sorry for the long post, but i had to get it all out because it has a lot of info on ways around our issues. Happy tinkering to you all. Yeah its crazy, I know! - Exhaust
hey looking good!
so,from here your now combining the two into a single and then into a muffler, then single out from muffler?
is so,why not just get a 2 in and one out muffler?
better airflow, the two in and one out muffler is more restriction. This way i am running it, there is no obstruction like in a muffler. It is literally straight pipe. that and they are kinda big and i have some tighter tolerances.
oh i see.yeah i suppose they would be,and the pipes are to close to the frame here.
can't wait to see the rest when your done.man i bet she breaths nice now.
sounds like a beast! Smooth idle, mean rev and vicious growl on take off. I will get some vids and audio soon. Maybe tomorrow. Right there where they are near the frame, i am going to weld an exhaust hanger on there and one more after the muffler.
