2005 6.0 overboost ??
O.k, I an 05 CC FX4 with 51k on it. It is pretty well stock other than straight pipe, cat delete, coolant filter, ccv reroute. Anyway, when I wot it the boost goes up to around 30 maybe even 31 psi. What I have been reading is that is a little high for a stock motor. If it is, what can I do to get it down about 2 or 3 lbs. I figured I might need a tuner but if anyone had any ideas I would be interested. The gauge I am going by is the stock gauge. My egt's are 7-900, fuel pressure is 51-58 lbs. Maybe the gauge is reading a couple of lbs more than it should?? I would the pcm goes by the gauge, correct? Anyway hope some one will chime in about it. Thanks, Eric

right on. I guess the concern would be with this new flash, if it overboost it wants to throw the truck into limp mode I guess. The wrench light comes on then there is little boost unless you hammer it. Turn it off and turn it back on and it fixes it. It only does it when the boost gauge gets up to 30.
