Diesel spill!!??

i SPILLED ABOUT A GALLON OF DIESEL ON MY CEMENT DRIVEWAY.
What's the best thing (or way) to remove it? Cleaner? Soap? It has stained and stinks. Also leached into the edge of my lawn.

Goo Gone always worked for me on petroleum spills of just about any kind.

You can get that at home depot.

You can take kitty litter, or oil dry and rub it in first, to absorb any that is still in liquid form, then your choice of cleaner

Where do you live? I'm calling the EPA dammit.

BTW, I use old-style kitty litter in my garage for oil & fuel, then pour tide or dish soap on it to soak.

nothing works better then a $10 bag of speedy dry..this stuff will even remove the ugly dark diesel oil stains off of the floor.. spread it over the oil..let it soak up what it can..if the speedy dry is soaked...clean it up and spread a little more..then grind the speedy dry into the floor over the stain with your foot till its like dust..sweep it up and you will never know there was a oil spill there..you may even have a very clean spot compared to the rest of the floor..a $10 bag will last me a year...

Since I work with fuel in the military, any time we have a spill we do what is known as the "bulk fuel shuffle." In other words, just kick dirt over it and pretend it never happened lol. Kitty litter, OilDry, or something of the like works best as already described.

I had the same thing happen about 3 weeks ago, I cleaned it up scrubbed it with ajax, mopped it with Tide detergent and down 13.5 pounds of baking soda. Let that sit there for 2 days and threw a box of moth ***** down for 4 days. And it still stinks dammit. Let me know if you come up with somethin better

Tri-Sodium-Phospate, or sprinkle with cement mix. Covers right up.
