There is no easy way to lower your pickup. I only know of two ways to lower a twin-I-beam suspension on a Ford truck. Get lowered spindles, or lowered I-beams.
i have been looking into lowering my 69 f-250 and have found that belltech dosen't have anything for that year truck but a company named Aim Industries www.aimind.com
you might also look in truckin' Magazine for ideas
enjoy.
I just lowered my 68. Haven't heard about lowered spindles. That option is for the GM junk. I bought mine from AIM- wow what POOOR customer service. They are a piece of work. My mechanic had to spend $150 grinding the I-beams down to make them work-poor medal work!
There are others that have lowered I-beams. I recommend stearing clear of AIM if at all possibility.
In an above response- go with lowered I-beams. Looks like there are other sources than AIM.
For the rear- lowered hangers and shackles- should lower it 4" in the back. Should make it look like a level truck, with the space above the tires taken out.
The best source I've found on lowering has been Sport Truck magazine. For Ford trucks the preferred method seems to be 3"lower I beams for the front, and Flip kits and shackles (depending on amount to be lowered) for the rear. I am in the decision stages for my 66 F-100 for what kits to go with. Was disapointed to hear about the AIM stuff cause others had said to go with them.
