4x4 question

hey guys! my 07 has the floor shift 4x4, How do you disengage the hubs? On my 97 I had to back up for 15ft to disengage them..... Is that necessary on my 07?

you dont have to on the new trucks their like chevys and dodges always locked in.

Are you sure they are not controlled by electronic solenoids and vacuum lines?
