I just ordered a DP-Tuner F6 yesterday and plan on installing it when it gets in this week, but im wondering what I should do. I currently have a Superchips Flashpaq installed on Performance tune, but someone stole my programmer out of my truck so I cant uninstall it. I planned on taking it to my local dealership and having it reflashed to stock, but I was wondering if the DP would override it? I was wondering if the stock tune on the DP is just like the chip turned off or if its an actual tune? I imagine im gonna have to reflash it but if i can save the $70.00 hour of labor charge id like to. Thanks
I wouldn't waste the money on a re-flash. The stock tune won't be EXACTLY like the Ford stock tune, but it will be 99% the same. The chip will overwrite the superchip mess.
Its been gone for a while now. It came up missing this fall sometime. Funny thing is the only people that have really ever rode in my truck other than family are the people in my Law Enforcement class........
No need to reflash, the stock tune on your DP chip will be better than the factory one as said above; and the other tunes will override whatever is on the PCM.
