Installed the DP Tuner today....
Getting that 10mm bolt was a chore and a half though.... definitely worth the scrapes and headache though...WOW..... I took my indy shop owner for a spin after and he was mucho impressed...said it was like hitting a nitrous switch going from stock to 80 econ.... can't even imagine what the 140 race tune would be like
The bad:
Went in to see if the dealership would re-flash the computer for the 35" tires.... apparantly the only tire setting that the Canadian Ford ICT computer has for Excursions is stock... they couldn't do a thing for me... a silver lining though, they didn't charge me for the time the scanner was on the truck which I thought was decent of them.
I do have a question though... what programmers can re-flash my tire size for me... Edge.. SCT? I will probably try and find someone local that has one and get them to do my truck for me.... I don't want to buy a programmer just for that.
SCT can't do it. I got the Superchips Flashpaq - Part # 1846 and it works great. I know some others that have spliced into the speedo cable and manually adjusted it according to their GPS with another electronic do-hicky but I've got better things to do. Also, if you change tire size in the future, you can change it accordingly.

By the way...Ratt X is looking killer!
.
A tuner worked for Scott because his 6.0 has a newer computer that's able to do more; whereas 7.3 computers only go so far.
I thought about the same thing when I lifted my truck, only to find out that it has something to do with the ABS controller on the rear diff and that the SCT couldn't program for that. If I had a 6.0 right now, my speedo would be dead on...
AutoEnginuity can do it. If anyone near you has it, hook up with them and they can dial in the right tire size for you rather easily... assuming they have the newest update.
