Ok, I need a coupla parts...I have a 1979 F150 Ranger XLT 4x4. I need a headlight switch, drivers side window winder motor and, finally a fuel filler spout, the metal part the cap attaches too, oh, and a cap!!
I am happy to buy 2nd hand if they are in good condition. Also I am looking for door control rods, the ones that operate the lock mechanism.

If number dummy or somebody can confirm the fuel filler spout and cap and lock rods are the same from a F150 I can fix you up.

 

I would be surprised if they were different....from what I understand, they are the same.

is your dimmer switch on the floor?
check to see if it is corroded, mine had the headlight flicker problem, the bottom of the dimmer switch was corroded/mostly gone and full of crap
seems as though a windshield leak allowed moisture to get under it and it stayed wet.....die cast case against steel floorpan= galvanic corrosion
wires/connector was not damaged, just replaced the $4.00 dimmer switch
worth a check............

grounds to the headlights can cause similar issues also
check the site about re-doing the lighting circuit to the headlights using relays, did it and converted to halogen sealed-beams.............unbelievable brightness, I don't have to strike a match to see if te headlights are working anymore

Bill, if you don't mind me useing your name, someone must have grafted power window into it, so I do need a motor, the regulator is missing too, but the previous owner still has it, and say's he will send it to me. It is the fuel filler neck and cap I require, for a styleside. As for evaporative side, I don't know, but I am sure I can make either of them work.....I will take what ever I can get.
