I have a new truck and am going thru working on it. today I replaced a u joint and while I had the drive shaft off I shifted into 4x4 locked the hubs and I could still spin the drive shaft
is this correct? I dont know for sure if 4x4 is working, when I am in low I can get the wheels to "hop" in 4x4 but 4x4 high the wheels dont "hop" while turning
shouldnt I be able to lock 4x4 and not be able to spin the driveline? I thought I could pull the rear drive shaft and put it in 4x4 and drive on front wheel drive only (I could on a old broncoII) or do I need something to lock to get that effect?
