Did you install the Revelco yourself? Since I am in Oregon there are nor dealers/installers for Revelco. Thanks
No, because no dealers here in WA either, I had to locat3 a diesel mechanic willing to try it. After he read the specifics for my 2003 F350 6.0, he did rhe wire install in 20 minutes. I did the wrapping of armor cable, attached to bottom of my dash and ran cable thru firewall myself. Ravelco gave me a discount due to no dealers and said it would probably run $100-$200 for a full install. Since I did all the manual work, it was basically hourly wage...
I really worry about my truck becoming a victim of theft. The collar that you have should really slow up a thief, but that thing was not cheap.
If its not too much trouble, could you mind posting more pictures of the collar. I think this might be something that I could get built locally, or even build my self.

that should cover all sides. Thieves break off the plastic ignition and use a screw driver or blade to start the truck so even with the Ravelco plug, they may not see it and bust the ignition off. Hence a yellow powder coated collar dissuade Thieves. Your insurance company should give a discount as well. A new ignition switch can be had for $35 Amazon and takes 3 minutes to install. I keep a spare hidden in my truck (worse case). BTW, cutting the hinge still won't allow the collar to be removed... good luck.
Thank you so much for the pictures. I really appreciate it.
I think this would be pretty effective. Not fool proof, maybe, but hopefully enough to make some one look for an easier target, and sometimes that is enough.
One of these days, I think i will mock up one of these out of card board, and see if I can get the weld shop to brake the metal, for me.
After than I can make the rest.
It seems that Ford could have done us a favor if they would have just put the Passive anti theft system on these trucks. Our 99 F100 and both of our Mercury Marquis cars have this, and it seems to work.
I have a Ravelco plug plus a powder coated 1/4" steel steering column lock. After having my last truck stolen from the dealer, I vow never to be a victim again. I also installed jimmi jam.ers on all doors. The collar device is built by Barry Johnston in Alberta, Canada. I think it was $350. Found him on Facebook in the PNW Stolen vehicles forum.
Barry Johnston had a Facebook presence. Got my theft proof steering column lock from him, Alberta, Canada and it is awesome... it fits Ford Trucks 99-07. He makes others as well...
Take a good look at the Ravelco anti theft system, I was impressed with the info given. A little bit of bear for installing (non mechcanic type), and slightly expensive, but considering the cost of my 2010, I feel it was worth the time and trouble. Short of a hooker or being pulled away by a second rig, it will be there when you come back to it.

Im in Western WA as well. Could you PM the Diesel shop that did the Ravelco work? Might do it myself but wouldnt mind a back up option.

it was a vehicle electronics shop off Auto center way in Bremerton. Mobile Radio did the hook up under the hood. I attached the cable under the dash and wrapped black tape around the cable to make it harder to see under the dash and through the fire wall. They charged me $100 I think because all they had to do was connect the 6 wires.
