You're right- 3L50 would be 3.50 limited slip (clutch type). The other information is probably date & plant codes.

Will my transfer case...bolt up with the zf

IIRC U have a mid 80s 150, I assume (due to being on this forum) U have a I6 300? No adapter needed on that end 4 ZF. What transfer DO U have, stock (I don't No what that was)...BigBlu has good adapter info. A "simple clocking" (? on need for BL) should suffice even if adapter is needed.

I'll have to check for sure to see if it's a np205. I just remember when I was crawling around under it seeing the new process stamp on it. I'm not to familiar with the trannys and transfer cases. Kinda new to me finding out all the different models.

300 I6, ZF (Soon!), Ford 9", 31" tires (33-35 would fit I'D imagine), NP208 (I think the 205 is better) YOU CAN'T go wrong w/that combo.!!! Have you checked out the sites for adaptor need for that trani? Have you got your Q's answered here?

Yeah 300 I6 9" got 33's on it now. Still trying to decide on the ZF or M5R2 both being hard to find! Still trying to figure out if my NP208 transfer case would mate up with both the trannys. Got alot of questions answered been a ton of help! As soon as I find a tranny and if my transfer case will work or I have to get that to will be doing this swap!
