Anyone ever done Ford Module programming with the AE cable and the Ford SW?

Anyone ever done Ford Module programming with the AE cable and the Ford SW?
Ford has this product that you can use to reprogram modules, like the 4WD control module, using an SAE J2534 pass-through cable, which just happens to look exactly like the AE OBD-II cable. Has anyone ever used the AE cable to program any of the Ford modules? The SW is $69 and the cheapest I can find someone with a Ford tool to reprogram my 4WD module is $100 so if I can do it myself and save $31, I'd like to.
