I have lost power and MPG( about 10 all the time).. I have ordered a new EBP sensor and have not installed it yet. WIth the advice from other FTE members, I should use my Edge EVO to check the exhaust back pressure. It read about 13.7 psi at idle and about 16 psi at 1800 rpm in park. I live at almost sea level if that matters on the readings. Does this mean that the EBP sensor is working properly? Is the tube to that sensor the problem? If not, what is my next step?? I have a new 6637 filter and a new fuel filter. Thanks for any help.
With the key off I will get 13-14 psi. I just drove it after warming up, and got 40-48 psi with my foot in it. Is this the sensor or something else? If it the tube had holes, the readings would be low? I the tube was plugged, the readings would be high? From what I have read, these readings are normal. I'm still not ready to put in a new sensor because Im not sure this is the problem. Whats my next move???? Thanks again for any help!!!

You may want to remove the tube and make sure it's not cloged up. At 103,000 mine was rusted through. A Curtis
Just took off the EBP sensor tube. Looks good but there was alot of stuff in the tube. Not sure if it was completely plugged. Put it back together, drove around and the power is back!!! I assume the sensor is good with the reading I got from the programmer. Will a partially plugged EBP sensor tube affect performance and MPG? Thanks for all the help. I love this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!
