EBPS question

My trucks EBP sensor was busted off when i got it. When i rebuilt the wiring harness, i figured that since it seemed to run fine without it, id just cut out the broken plug and bypass it. Recently I've been doing more reading about the purpose of the EBPS and the EBP tube, etc. Is it worth putting in the work to rewire a new sensor in and installing a plug for it? I've read over on the 99 and up forums about some sort of "eliminator" that gives the PCM a normal reading from the EBPS. Anyone know more about that.

Basically, is it worth replacing (i.e. is it robbing me of power/mileage) and if so, whats the best way to go about it?

It's not worth it.
I spent a day cleaning my tube and sensor. And there was no noticeable difference in power or mileage I then went got a new sensor that made no difference.

+1 "It's not worth it."

I just went thru the same debate, ended up deleting it. Mine hadnt worked in ages, truck still warms up just fine.

99 and up need that sensor, or the pesky CEL will come ON. On OBS the computer will store the code but not activate the CEL.
