Ok, I need a little help. I lost my alternator this week and didn't have time to swap it out myself, so I paid someone to do it. Well, I was just under the hood and my degas bottle appears to be all effed up. It looks like it's pointed up and the cap is touching the hood leaving an imprint. I took the screws out and messed around with it, but I couldn't get it to sit flat/properly. Can someone please snap some pictures of their's for me? A front view, side view, and some of the mounting bracket would be good. If someone could do that and PM me, I will send you my email address. Or, you can post them here. Thanks in advance.
Sent you a pm with my e-mail. Took pictures, but can't post them.
You can go to my albums and see the same photos. As brickie said, there is a tab that has to go in correctly, or it will stick up (the bottle) Easy fix, 2 screws
There are plastic tabs that have to locate behind and under the bottle. You cant see them without pulling out the bottle. If you remove the screws and pull the bottle out two inches then reinstall it pushing slightly up at the back using a left to right motion it should go into place.(I took a couple pics but do not think they will help because you cant see the tabs that are at the back of the bottle.Hope this helps.
