Craigslist
Just curious if any off you have used this for buying or selling things. Good experiences or bad tell me. It sure has quite a bit off items on there. thanks for the input guys. Any tips for buying or selling.

Lots of quacks and ripoffs on CL, its free after all. However, I've sold every part or piece of junk laying around I've ever listed on it. Generally, CL shoppers are looking for good deals, you won't likely get top dollar for anything.
I found my 89 Z28 there, bought countless parts and later today I'm getting a mint bench seat for my boom truck for 75 bucks or any amount less hes willing to take. buying it 1 way or another though, hes fair @ 75.
My advice is do not post your phone #, having the buyer respond thru craigslist with their phone # is a good way to weed out the nutcases and tire kickers. Post pics, seems everyone wants to see a crappy picture. Good luck.

I love it. Have literally found tons of free or cost next-to-nothing firewood.
Bought a perfectly good BackRack ($250 new) for $40. Bought 4 snowblowers for a total of $300 and sold 2 for $750 already.
Just have to be a little careful about scammers. I always anonomize my email and do business through email.
Bought a lawn tractor for $100 so I could have the transmission, sold the transmissionless tractor to someone else for $200.
Just have to be patient and a little savvy and you'll find it to be a great marketing tool.

Thanks guys. I am trying to sell some stuff on there right now. Have a couple off emails. can I respond to those emails directly. The persons name is on there. Trying to figure out how to do that. No email address. Anybody help me on this one.

Yes, you can respond directly. The craigslist engine works in both directions, they will receive the same notifications in reverse.

Still cant figure it out. I want to respond to the emails but no phone number and no email adress. So what do i do next. I have several emails but no way to get back to the party. Im frustrated.Ive looked at ll the FAQ but i cant figure it out. Can somebody tell me what to do step by step. Thanks agin for the help guys.

Click the blue writing toward the top of the page next to where it that says 'Reply to" , click that and what happens.

Copy and paste the reply to link and then go to your e-mail and paste it in.
Right click on it and it brings up the copy and paste box.
I have found Clist a great way to sell junk... one month i made over a grand. 2 old motorcycles gone from the yard.

I've sold two trucks, a set of tires and a jet ski trailer on CL. Have also bought a trailer, building materials and furniture from CL.
Never had a problem. Yeah, there's lots of kooks and criminals on there but if you fall victim to them then that's because you aren't paying very good attention. You gotta have a little bit of street smarts.

I have used craigslist many times and love it, once you get used to it you know how to spot the scams and crack heads on there.
Just sold a computer and a laptop on there for good money too.
My borther also sold his truck using it.

Just got back with the new bench seat for my boom truck. When I say mint condition, I mean it...looks like no one ever sat in it. Couldn't beat the guy up on price, it was his dads; now deceased and he was there with his young son who helped us load it onto the bed of my truck, looked like he really needed the money. WIN-WIN here.
