P1000 code for three years! whats up with this

i bought my superchip programmer about three years ago and when i installed it it said i had a code a P1000. so over the years when i tow with my truck i put the tow mode in and go about my business. well i havent towed in a few months and today i had a job where i needed to tow my backhoe so this mourning i put the tow mode in and that dam P1000 code is back again. this has been going on for three years and its suppose to be a learning code or something along those lines. why wont his go away? is there something wrong with my truck? i checked my dads 2000 diesel and he doesnt have it i even checked my buddies 03 f-250 with it and his truck shows nothing either. any thoughts????

Here is the code we have in the 6.4 tech folder:
P1000 RESET OBD Systems Readiness
Test Not Complete
This error occurs when all other DTC’s have been
erased from the system. This error will subside
when all OBD monitors have been completed

Don't know if that same code would apply to your motor/year.

Not a big deal really but in their tune they should have shut that code off so it would not appear. Maybe they have a updated tune. Just thinking.

Flashing the PCM resets it, leaving the P1000 code until the ODB readiness test can be completed again. So any time you check for codes right after changing programs, you will see the P1000. Check it again in a few days after you've driven it awhile and it should be gone.

ok but the code never goes away. i took tow mode off a few months back havent towed anything. yesterday i needed to tow my backhoe so i went to put the tow tune back in and the superchip wont install a tune if there are codes. so its been at least five months since i changed tunes there is no way it should take that long for the computer to run its tests. thats why i wanted to know if somethings wrong.

Check the PCM KAM fuse/circuit for an open circuit.

It is not an open circuit, rather a false code set because of an aftermarket Air Filter.

Guys, you may not have noticed but the thread is almost two years old. Someone went thread mining and resurrected it.

Doh!

It is not an open circuit, rather a false code set because of an aftermarket Air Filter.
That would be unlikely....

But any information that builds upon it which helps me in 2020 looking for a different fix.
