I have a '79 that has bad window seals (felt??)that allows rain to run into the truck. This is in the window frame and it has deteriorated and fallen out. Where can I find new window felt to stop this? Also where can I buy the floorboard boot that goes around the clutch pedal? You can see the ground under the truck. This is a 300 I6 with 54,000 original miles. It was my father in laws and he gave it to my son.
I have purchased window felts from JC Whitney and am satified with what I got although I didn't use any adhesive and they have migrated a little in their tracks. I have a Dennis Carpenter catalog that lists the clutch floorboard boot. The catalogue I have is for 73-79. My 76 got converted to auto and I found a rubber plug for this hole. I need the boot now for a 69 that like you I can see the ground as well as hear my engine. It was amazing how much quieter the 76 was when I plugged that hole.
i bought all the trim for the side windows for my 77 f100 from jc whitney. the channel felts and the inner and outer pieces that fit on the door that the flat side of the windor slides against. it all fit nicely.
