I've just swapped cabs on my 76 F250 4x4. The "new" cab is from a 79 F250 4x2. The '76 had a metal plate with a troff(sp) or channel that the column rests on with a band clamp to hold it in place. The '79 was standard shift, the 76 is automatic. My question is doe the plate go on the inside of the cab or on the outside of the fire wall. A buddy dismantled it and can't remember, and there aren't any holes on the new cab. Any ideas....besides doing all the work myself next time (haha)?
