Well the shift indicator broke on my truck. It's the little triangle piece that indicates what gear you are in. the clear part with the shift pattern is good. just the little piece that moves is the problem. Any one have any idea how to replace it? can I still get that little piece from Ford or is it aftermarket. I think worse case scenario I can glue it. But I would prefer not to. Also is there suppose to be a bulb that lights it up?
Replacing the indicator (7A110) is about the same amount of work as replacing the shift collar.
And there is a light bulb for the indicator (15A801).
I don't know if they're still available from Ford but LMC and Dennis Carpenter have them.
Here is a picture of the exploded column.
Not really, it's about like changing the shift collar, actually easier because you don't have to reroute the t/s wires. The biggest deal is pulling the steering wheel and that's not really a big deal.
i have question my truck didnt have the gear indicator so i dnt knw wat gear im in while im driving. and i was wondering if anybody knew where i could find this piece at.

LMC and Dennis Carpenter have the indicator pointer, plus they also have the rest of the pieces if you need those too.
