Shift Indicator cable

i have an 86 f150 and it had a c4 but i put a c6 in it. so i went to the junk yard because to find a gear indicator and the **** indicator cable. i found a shift indicator panel because there is no overdrive so now it reads the right gears, but the cable that goes around the steering wheel broke. Where can i get a new one at? -logan

The old one from the AOD that was in your truck originally will work unless it is broke too. You can try LMC truck or Parts Depot or the Dealership for the cable unless you can find one at the junk yark. Any f-150 auto from 80 to 86 and possibly later will work.
