You didn't mix up parts from different wheels did you? Didn't think so!
Loosen the top bolt so that it's in by only a few threads, then thread the bottom one in.
also make sure you didn't twist your your brake hose, if it looks like a pigs tail you got it wrong, calipers are not idiot proof a few people have come into my shop with a caliper they just bought on the wrong side, but alloro was meaning was the brackets
I didn't mix up sides doing one at a time. But the brakes were REALLY bad. The inside plate on the rotor was completely gone. only the ribs were left. Probably going to change the caliper and bracket because of it being so bad. It just ticks me off though, that I can't get back on what i took off. Maybe bracket or cailper warped due to heat and I released the pressure when removing? Anyway, Thank for help.
Ok I got it!. It came to me in a dream!!! I used a C-clamp the try to move the caliper down. I tightened it just a little and the thing popped into place. Matter of fact I had to pull it up a little but it went right in. Passenger side a dream compared to this side. This is the second bad brake job I did in a row and they happen to be my first two. I read alot of forums about trying to remove stuck rotors but I found a way that is SSOOO easy! I bought a gear puller with 7" inch arms and the rotors come off like butter. No more hammering or cutting. I do have one question though. I noticed that my drivers side bracket and caliper looked just like my passenger side only upside down. Is this right or did the previous owner or whoever worked on this truck screw it up?
