(im a noob) bigger trans for 2000 F250?
my friend has a 2000 F250 with the 7.3L 4WD and his transmission blew out. he says the 4R100 wont be strong enough for the things he pulls.
is there a bigger trans that will bolt up to this engine and will be more heavy duty than the 4R100?
dont ask why hes not posting on here, cause idk...

You can't just remove a C-4 and put in a C-6, like back in the 60s and 70s. One of the troubles with today's transmissions is that they are electronically controlled. You can't just swap the transmission, because the computer is the truck is programmed to control a 4R100. If you installed a later model 5R110W (which is a stronger transmission) with the associated computer, you won't have a computer that handles a 7.3L PSD.
But, it isn't that complicated. A 4R100 can be made into a bulletproof transmission with a few upgraded, or a rebuilt and upgraded transmission can be purchased from a number of transmission vendors. A Google search will turn up numerous sources for a rebuilt 4R100 that can easily handle your friend's heavy footed transmission shredding driving.
