Hi everyone. Has anyone upgraded just their foglight bulb? I was thinking silverstars but have read good and bad for different vehicles. Didn't see much on our truck. I'm only looking to replace the bulb for a better performing one. Don't want to upgrade ballasts, etc. Thanks for your input.

 

Yes, I have the silverstars in my fog lights and I love them. I mostly upgraded because I have to old rectangulars and they leak. I lose a bulb every year. But they improve the side vision and have whiter light which I really like.

 

do you happen to remember which model of the silverstar are you using? I've read that the 9005 and 9006 can run too hot and melt the housing. Other have used the 9145 and 9140. Thanks.

 

Philips crystal vision ultras.....9140's or 9145's....which ever one them make them in....i don't recall what i got....

 

I run the Silverstar 9145's. Nice and bright.
