Large Chip in Windsheild!

Hey everyone I'm new here and i need some help...

Anyway my rear view mirror fell off. oh no.. Well ya it also took a chunk of glass with it about the size of two nickels stacked on top of each other. So I was hoping that i could get some help from you guys on how to repair this. I was thinking some sort of windshield repair stuff for stone chips.. does anybody have any input on how well this will work or what i should do?

thank you

and in case your wondering i have a 1992 F150xlt, its my first vehicle and I am quite proud to say i own it.

If you have comp on your insurance just turn it in. If not, check with an auto glass shop, shouldn't be much if they can repair it.

If you have that much glass missing where the mirror was, the mirror was nocked or pulled off with some force.

Nothing you can do about repairing the damage spot with that much glass missing.

You can, or have a glass shop re glue the button next to the old location. should cost you between $10.00 to $20.00.
