Be careful using that lower without the support "cage" Front main bearing wear and oil pump damage can occur from crank nose flex.

JL.
Thanks for the heads up. I'm building this setup for towing not high rpm racing. The engine will not be spun over 5000 rpm. Looking to make over 500 ft/lb of torque at 3500 rpm. Don't know if it can be done but that is my goal.

Just be aware of it,and know that RPM is not the only thing that flexes the crank.

I understand that the lower bolts up the the front and aligns the pulleys and all but would a longer supercharger like a dodge viper one boost better?

Have you priced a supercharger for a viper? When you find one for under $4,000 used, let me know. So far I have under $300 in everything I have right now. I should be able to keep it under the $1000........or at least I hope to, lol.

I cant even find one lol, I was guessing the used market would be affordable due to the 14 years the motor has been out. I also was just wondering if the lightning charger will be enough boost.

Lightnings can make up to 14psi on the stock eaton so 8psi on the V10 won't be out of the question. Keep in mind this is for towing and passing slow people. I'm not looking for max power just a little more down low torque.

Here is a picture of the heat exchanger and water pump for the intercooler.

UPDATE:

Had a guy stumble across one of my post about this supercharger setup. He totally sent me in a new direction. He has three V10 superchargers off of the Ford Hydrogen 6.8L! It's a 3.3L blower and lower intake with intercooler. It's going to bolt right on and use the lightning lower pulley setup. Just bought it and can't wait for it to show up. Here are some pictures.

Here it is next ot a GT500 supercharger.

Now,you're talking...that's headed more in the right direction-especially on time saved in fabrication.

Hydrogen? Never knew they made one, nor a factory supercharged model. Did you pickup all three of them?
