Happy New Year to all. I need a little help with this one guys. I'm not new to doing brakes, however I am newer to this kind of baring. What is the proper reinstallation procedure for rear barings on a Dana 80 rear end with a 4.88 axel ratio? I have worked on small trucks and cars most of my life and learn something new every day. I have dual rear wheels and a four wheel disc on a Ford F550.
I haven't taken it apart yet. What kind of baring is in this? I did buy the special socket for four wheel Fords and I guess I should buy some new rear seels before I start.
are you sure that you even have to take the bearing apart? its a FF axel so i dont think you would need to...but i am young and not yet serviced a ford DRW
