Ya best bet would be to give Clay from Riffraff diesel a yell. He can fix you up.

Great question and these guys already got you on the right track.
It's not necessarily a problem, until you do some custom tunes and/or bigger injectors. The #8 injector fires directly after #6. Fuel for that side of the engine is supplied from the front of the block, so when #6 fires, it can leave a "void" of fuel for the #8 injector when it fires. Ford's "band-aid" for the issue was a long-lead injector. But the best fix is as mentioned above with a CCK or even better the regulated return.
