I'll have to call the local chassis shop and see if they can confirm the difference in spring lengths. I wouldn't think ford would go to the trouble of moving the spring hangers for different engine combos unless it was a complete change ending at one model year and then continuing up through. Being ford though I wouldn't be to surprised.

this is whats on skyjackers web site:
"Notes: Shocks sold separately. Kits use a rear block and/or add-a-leaf and Systems using rear leaf springs. Vehicles with Diesel engines will require front fitted leaf springs."
mountaineer, what tire did u use after all? tire and wheel combo looks good.
i got a hell of a deal on the wheels. $540 for 4 17x9 american eagles with lug nuts, center caps (didnt fit because of the full floater), and valve stems.
oh yeah, just wanted to add that if you stay with 16's but wanna go wider watch out. it looks they will hit the tie rod ends. my 17's are pretty close as it is.

I worked as a dealer for skyjacker. Trust me. they are the same springs. They make two springs. Small block gas and then big block, diesel(idi), powerstroke.
