Tseekins: I retired as a Letter Carrier after 31 years, and had a similar problem with the New Balance company. After going back and forth with them over a month or two, I emailed them and told them I wanted replacements or I was going to write to the NALC HQ in Washington, figuring they would put some pressure on whoever screens the shoe suppliers. I also told them I would write a letter to the NALC magazine, where Letter Carriers all over the USA would read it. Three (3) days later I recieved my replacements and a letter of apology.........................

All I can say is Meindl. Yep check them out. ::: MEINDL ::: Shoes for Actives :::
Been wearing them for about 15 yrs and on my 2nd boot. Granted, I have not been wearing them everyday for the last few yrs but still a very good constructed, waterproof boot. In fact all the special ops are wearing them around these parts.

Buck, I may have to try that. I was trying to avoid the "Sorprano's" approach and be nice but strong arming them may be the thing to do.

It sucks, but it seems like these days, strong arming, is the only thing that works to get fair "customer service".

I also always try the nice route first, but its always shortlived. I kinda hate to admit it, but I get more fair treatment by being a large strong man, and using my "outdoor" voice, then using fair polite logic.

Nothing wrong with that, and you are still using (universal) "logic". People are primates, and respond to alpha male behaviors.
