odor eaters

Anyone know if those odor eaters for shoes work? I can't figure this out. I've got two pairs of shoes that are the same. Bought them at the same time from the same store. They're $20 Northwest Territory. One pair has been worn out pretty bad, but I wear it for working in the garage. That pair smells fine. The second pair is the one I wear for work. All I do is sit at computer all day and these smell aweful. Wondering if I should try odor eaters or just toss 'em and get another cheap pair. I don't have a foot odor problem, just this one pair of shoes. I've never had trouble with shoes smelling before.

I do wash my feet. They don't smell. Of all the shoes I have/had, not one pair has smelled.

I sprayed Febreeze in them yesterday, so I figure I'll let them air out a while and see. If anything, I'll just toss 'em. They are over a year old. Tonight I went to Walmart and bought a pair of Dr. Scholl's for work. Much more comfortable than the Northwest Territory.

Hey 88, I'm just playin wit ya....!

I got the same problem. Stinky dogs are the worst!

Most of the time its because my feet were wet or damp, maybe not wearing socks. This usually happens to me in the summer time.
Dry them Gunboats and use Dr Scholls foot powder or something similar. Use something with an anti-fungal agent.
Good Luck, and please stay up wind from your loved ones!!!!

I've always had a problem with sweaty feet (used powder), but never stinky shoes until just recently. So, I make sure I wash my feet daily, use powder (foot powder, or Gold Bond-type stuff) on the feet and in the shoes, and I also use an anti-perspirant/deodorant on the soles of my feet. After about a month of this, the foot/shoe odor was gone.

I always wondered if they would work as a panty-liner, for you know, when you break wind!

O-that is a good one, I have been in situations I could use a nice way to reduce that overall affect of a minor problem.

Well I think it was minor

Switch to wool socks! They pull the water from da-feet and cures alot of problems! You can wear them year round. They will NOT make your feet hot in the summer but will keep them warmer in winter. I ware them year round in boots with thinsulate, and have for years without a problem and I have never had "hot feet"!

I use Gold Bond Medicated powder or something cheap like it
Works great... my feet sweat a lot and that keeps them from smelling and my shoes from smelling.
