Last year of the Flaresides with wood was the 1987 year model, and 1987 was the last year of flaresides until 1992 year model.
Last year of 8' Flaresides... 1979
Last year of 9' Flaresides... 1972
Between 1973 and 1976 you couldn't buy a 6.5' flareside, and between 1988-1991 you couldnt buy one at all.
The Flareside bed hasn't changed much since 1948 with a few updates to the tailgate and fenders.
