Hey guys i was wondering what manual shift transfer case you guys would reccommend for an E4OD Tranny I hate electronic shift t-cases and i am converting my 2wd to 4wd and dont want to have to redo wiring and all that. Any help with the gurus would be awesome.
Thanks Guys
Charles
Before anyone recommends it, the NP205 specifically will not work without a lot of doing. It's too narrow causing interference with the front driveshaft and the pan.
you can put any ford t-case behind any ford tranny with the exeptions of the superdutys.... as for not putting an np205 behind an e40d thats bull i've seen it done.

Truf, the 205 can be mounted up behind the E4OD, there is some mods that have to be done and a little re-indexing work, but not that big a deal. Easiest would be to get a BW1356 from either a Bronco or F-250/350. They typically had fix yoke cases and the lower models (as in not xlt or Lariat) usually had the manually operated cases.
LOL and for fixed yoke do i have to take the slip yoke assembly off the end of my driveshaft and attach the u joint to it or is it a little more complicated than that
