So I got my dptuner yesterday. Got the f6. It's awesome. (brother has it also). Truck starts awesome even at 12 degrees.
Anyway. I'm concerned because the truck is running 30psi on the stock turbo. Maybe more if I had let the revs go past 2700 in od.
Is this ok or should I call Jody to add fuel or revise my 80e program.
It's my only tune so far.
Wg actuator tightened a turn which gives the stock tune 20psi.

Seems really high.. I can get to that in 80 e if I floor it up a hill but i have only done that once.. And im normally around 2000 rpms for a max..so unless you were really gettin into it that seems high.. But then again at 2700 rpms im not sure what I would be at..Are you getting any turbo surge at that high a psi on stock turbo?
I'd back off that wastegate rod adjustment if it were me, or buy an adjustable one like the Boostmaster. I'm by no means a turbo expert and I have no fancy graphs or formulas to back up my opinion. It's really hard to get 30# on stock sticks, are you just peaking there for a split second or is it holding steady 30 psi?
Anyway, the turbo isn't really efficient above 25 psi, so all you are really doing is reducing performance and making heat. The second is, 30 psi is just too much for that stock turbo. That's a lot of drive pressure, and the bearings are bushings, not roller. You might not be happy in the near future if you keep at it with 30 psi of boost.
That sounds right. The stock turbo don't like more then 25# boost, so you should drive accordingly, or get a bigger turbo. I could get 30# on my stock turbo also but I tried to keep it around 25#.
ALl your doing at 30 psi is hurting the turbo and blowing hot air. Turbo becomes basically a heat pump over 25psi. You are not making anymore power at all and egts are rising faster. Maybe look into a turbomaster wastegate controller that way you can back it off manually to 25psi.
I could hit 30 on mine with stock turbo and injectors too. Not quality air and not good for the turbo, but who lives there anyway? For the occasional blast it was pretty fun.

Like Mike said, don't worry about it. It's not like you are living there. You are good to go for "normal driving"
